Dear Members, Benefactors and Friends of Our Parish Family of Saint Francis de Sales,

We are a Parish Family especially during these difficult and unusual times.  It is our personal prayer life for our loved ones and for our Parish that keeps us together during this time.

"God in our despair..God in our healing".  Words of wisdom from Saint Teresa of Avila a Spanish cloistered Carmelite Sister way back in the 15th century.  One of her famous prayers is especially noteworthy for all of us during this current pandemic.  "NOTHING CAN TROUBLE..NOTHING CAN FRIGHTEN..THOSE WHO SEEK GOD..SHALL NEVER GO WANTING..NOTHING CAN TROUBLE..NOTHING CAN FRIGHTEN..GOD IS ALWAYS WITH US'.

This coming Holy Week we are unable to bring the Blessed Palm to our homes on Palm Sunday.  We are unable to celebrate the Eucharist on Holy Thursday..we are unable to gather around the Cross on Good Friday..we are unable to witness the lighting of the Paschal Candle on Holy Saturday..and..we are unable to celebrate Easter Mass and the renewal of our Baptismal promises..may the light of God's compassion and love illuminate our hearts and homes this 2020 Holy Week.

To help us Boston Catholic TV..America's Catholic Television network will televise the following Masses on these channels:  Comcast Ch 45 and 268, Verizon Ch 296, RCN Ch 85

Holy Thursday April 9th at 7:30PM
Good Friday April 10th at 3PM

Easter Sunday April 12th at 11AM & 7PM

Please know that you and your loved ones are with me every day in prayer and at my private Masses that God's Grace and Presence will be with you and all the Members of our Parish Family of Saint Francis de Sales.  Our Patron Saint, Saint Francis de Sales always said..."during difficult times, pray the Our Father Prayer unceasingly".  This I have been doing every day during this COVID 19 pandemic crisis for you and our Parish Family of Saint Francis de Sales.

It is prayer..daily prayer..that keeps us close to Christ and each other.  It is prayer during this time that keeps us close to Jesus as Members of our Parish Family of Saint Francis de Sales.  All of us have special intentions for which we pray every day.  Among our special intentions please pray for the victims of COVID 19 and their families.  We pray together for the safety and well being for the nurses, doctors and all those medical professionals working every day in these trying times.  Also, let us not forget to pray for all First Responders..especially our Boston Firefighters..Boston Police Officers..and Boston Emergency Medical Personnel.  Like the nurses and doctors, first responders are on the
frontlines..keeping us safe.

I am truly grateful to every member of our Parish Family for sending your weekly offering envelopes to the Rectory.  Your sacrificial gifts to the Parish are a huge help to me in meeting the every day expenses during this time when Parish income is suffering due to the suspension of weekday and weekend Masses.  Thank you for supporting Saint Francis de Sales at the present time.  Let me thank you as well for your telephone calls and emails to the Rectory expressing your concern for the Parish Staff and the Priests of the Parish.

God Bless you and yours now and always.  Stay Safe!
Fr. Dan, your Pastor...your brother...and your friend
