DAMITA (DEE) WHITE said 8/2/2012 9:01:53 AM :
Thanks Bishop. I've never considered your question in such a manner. As for me, my prayers are that I remain steadfast on the path ordained by God. Presently, I know that I'm where I'm supposed to be. At the end of the day, I hope I'm still in the place of His guidance. I pray for strength to continue to strive for His "Perfect Plan" for my life and the lives of my seed and my seed's seed.

Wow Bishop. I had to really think about it. Truly, nothing else is more important. Ending up in a place called "there", which was ordained by God. What could be better?

God Bless you and your family.

DAMITA (DEE) WHITE said 7/18/2012 11:32:15 AM :
Thank you Bishop and may God continue to bless you and your family.

I am a witness to the benefits of "Resting in God". I've been going through some things in my personal life that would have gotten the best of me if I had not taken time to be still. Not always did I hear from Him, but I gave it all to Him and I am physically seeing the results manifest (literally) before my eyes. It is in the valleys where we grow and I hope that it is evident of that growth in my life. I will continue to press on.

Truly, God is doing a new thing in my life and the lives of my family.
DESIREE said 7/17/2012 11:20:12 PM :
At times being still can be a challenge, especially when we have so many things to do. Like Jesus did, {He must needs go through} Samaria (John 4:4). The Good News from this Rest Stop is a "must needs go through! I'm glad I stopped at this Rest Stop. Thank you Bishop and God Bless you!
ELDER SHAY WALKER said 7/17/2012 8:36:06 PM :
Good stuff Bishop Washington! This is needed in this season. God Bless
ELDER R.J. DEAS JR. said 7/15/2012 11:53:21 AM :
T.Y. Bishop, I've enjoyed these while being out of town for a few weekends... As a child at church we sang a song. " 'Ive been running for Jesus a long time, I'm not tired yet," and all the chances to rest on my journey, I've always thought to myself, I'll rest at the next one, then the next, ect.... Now I find myself asleep at the wheel, and Delrious, overly tired, missing exits, and not able to see anything on this journey, but the lines in the middle of the road, and weaving over them. Now that I have found a rest stop, it seems as if I have set up camp at this stop, and forgotten about the journey all together. I can't wait to get on the road again...LUV ya, and thanks for everything....smiles
DAMITA (DEE) WHITE said 7/6/2012 4:03:03 PM :
Thank you Bishop and First Lady. I'm so excited and inspired by this. We should all take time to Rest in Him. Didn't think I would be busy over this short holiday, but quite the contrary. This was just what I needed.
ALINDA COX said 7/5/2012 8:29:08 AM :
Fantastic! This is what people need! Let's keep pressing on!!!
TIFFANY GOLDSBY said 7/4/2012 1:51:03 PM :
Amazing Bishop, I truly can relate with needing rest. After dealing with school and trying to balance a Ministry as well I found it very difficult, because I was having a hard time just truly resting in God, and all along this was the Golden nugguet I really need was to just REST in him. I knew he had it all under control but when I was moving to fast and juggling alot and not resting in God everything seemed cloudy, but I Thank you Bishop for helping me to learn how to Rest, so my God Bless you and First Lady and your Ministry. Shalom!
GERALD G. said 7/4/2012 1:31:19 PM :

I miss you much.
Talk soon.
DESIREE said 7/3/2012 9:07:05 PM :
Thank you Bishop & Lady Washington for the encouraging words from the Reststop. Bishop as you talked about being out of rhythm with God, due to no rest; it reminded me of when I was in the Marching Band. We were always told to make sure you get a good nights rest. Those who didn't, you saw it at the next practice. If you got out of rhythm , the Director easy spotted it and stopped the whole reshearsal. This truly is something we wouldn't want God to do to us, because we didn't take the tiime rest in Him.
APOSTLE CHAMBERS said 7/2/2012 7:57:51 PM :
Awesome!! I love the Rest Stop experience. Keep pressing forward Bishop with the vision the Lord has given you. Great blessing be upon you and the Greater Peace family!!
SWASHINGTON said 7/2/2012 11:12:12 AM :
Sometimes it seems like we are missing our rest because we are looking for rest in all the wrong places. When you were speaking about the musical term rest it reminds me of "flow" a rhythmic flow. When playing an instrument if you do not stop at the rest then the music does not flow right and it does not sound right. So I guess its just like us if we do not rest in the right places and at the right time, we will begin to not look right, our response is off, our conversations are not in sync or we end up doing things that were not originally on our schedules causing us to be overwhelmed. Finding rest in Jesus is what I feel I need to do more often. Getting too busy helps no one, it only causes us to make mistakes and excuses which causes more frustration around us. I needed to slow down just to think about this. Thanks Bishop Washington this is what I needed.
BISHOP WASHINGTON replied 7/2/2012 12:10:19 PM :
Great point, without rest we get out of rhythm! This is true in all kinds of ways; not only physically, emotionally, cognitively but most importantly it is true spiritually. We can become out of rhythm with God when we fail to find the rest that He provides for us. Rest was initiated & ordained by Him! Thanks for your insightful comment. Shalom!

ELDER REESE BROWN said 6/30/2012 9:12:17 AM :
In today’s society it is easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of daily living. We are moving at a pace that makes it hard to find the time to rest. Our engines are constantly turning, very often we forget even how to rest. Thank you for sharing with us the message of the need for rest, and how that rest can be found by trusting in Jesus.

May God continue to use the Rest Stop as a tool to refresh ourselves. God bless you! I eagerly look forward to the next Rest Stop message.
DIANNE BROWN said 6/29/2012 11:52:19 AM :
As a seasoned traveler both naturally and spiritually I can really appreciate the need to stop for rest. The Rest Stop is like a nice oasis to come and quench your thirst. Thank you! I look forward to future stops at the Rest Stop.

NEKEIDA DYDELL-PIERCE said 6/26/2012 2:35:12 PM :
I am glad I stopped by, and definitely fill refreshed and refueled!!

It’s a blessing to have a place throughout the week to go as well as to refer others to that can give you a rest in whatever realm you need it. If nothing else it allows you to a pause and listens to something that is edifying and uplifting, and if only for the moment separates you from the hustle and bustle of life’s demands and obligations to receive a word that can help you get through the rest of the week and/or day.

Thank you Bishop, it’s a blessing to be under your leadership!

PS~I love the graphics and detail behind this project as well!!!!
BISHOP WASHINGTON replied 6/27/2012 4:36:30 PM :

This is so refreshing. I thank God for blessing me and the saints at Greater Peace with a wonderful Family of God. The theme this year of equipping the saints has truly been a blessing to me and my family by helping us to grow in Christ. I now have a personal relationship with Christ through teachings at Greater Peace. This tool, in it's self, will further help me in my journey. I look forward to many more "Rest Stops" and will encourage my children and grand children to log on. Thank you.

Wonderful job, Bishop Washington. I and in agreement with Brother Gibson, can't wait to see more. We all need rest and a fill up from time to time. We all get discourage from time to time. I was about to ask a question but you answered before I could even type it. My question was "when/how do you find rest in the middle of the battle"? Thanks Bishop, as always, very enlightening. I will be forwarding this link to many people.
