Golf Course to be Mowed

Posted Wednesday, June 05, 2013

(By Scott Lowry, LCPOA Golf Course Committee Chairman) - As many of you have probably seen, the weeds and grass have grown significantly on the now closed Fort Worth Golf Club course.  The owner of the course, Stacy Hart, has been found in violation of the City of Fort Worth’s High Grass and Weeds ordinance.  According to Robert Naughton, City Code Compliance Officer, the property owner has been directed to mow the golf course.  If the golf course is not mowed by June 13, the City will schedule a city contractor to mow it and should take place during mid to late June.

Many residents who live along the course have taken it upon themselves to mow portions of the course near their homes – holes 4, 5, and 10 to name a few.

Rumors continue to abound regarding the sale of the property as the lien-holders move inexorably toward foreclosing on the property.   But, to date, there is nothing concrete to report on any actual activity regarding the property.

See the LCPOA story 'Lake Country Area Golf Club Course Status' of May 15, 2013 for more information.
