Gethsemane Worship Service
There will be one service this coming Sunday at 10:30 AM on Pentecost Sunday, June 8th. The following Sunday, June 15th, summer worship hours will begin with one service at 9:30 AM. Mark your calendars!
We believe that worship is not just something we do but an important part of who we are: a people gathered around Word and Sacrament.
Gethsemane's worship is a service alternating between liturgies from Evangelical Lutheran Worship, and With One Voice.
The service is built around four parts: Gathering, Word, Meal and Sending. The service often includes special music from the Adult Choir, Handbell Choir, Children/Youth Group or Instrumental Ensembles.
Communion is celebrated at every service. A word regarding Holy Communion. We believe that our Lord Jesus Christ is truly present “in, with, and under” the sacrament, and that through the gift of Holy Communion we receive forgiveness of sins and sanctification. Sharing our faith, you are welcome to join us at the table. Children who do not yet receive the sacrament are welcome to come to the table for a blessing.
Fellowship Hour is held in the Narthex immediately following worship. Snacks, coffee and cold drinks are provided. We invite everyone to take part in our fellowship. Please consider signing up to host a fellowship hour. A free-will offering is taken for our fellowship times if you choose to donate.
